Assuming she is teaching there: many schools have Web sites. If her name isn't too common, Google is your friend.

Once she's been there a little while she'll have a telephone and you can try locating her with http://www.whitepages.com/9900/

There are other pay sites for locating people in North America. Using them -- even without paying -- you can get hints as to where people with her name are located and narry down your search.

Then, if you're willing to pay, online skip tracers aren't very expensive, under $50 or $100. They can get personal data on most anyone.

Do you know which province or where she is working? The canada411 site another poster gave you is a good one. Is she teaching in Canada? This site will give you an idea of education contacts that might be of some assistance if you have an idea about where she is working. Consider putting an ad in a local paper if you know the city or town she might be in.

I hope these thoughts help. Best of luck in finding her.

Sometimes there is a society for people who come from another country -- for example, Australians and New Zealanders have an Anzac Club. It's just a social club, but people often like to gather together. Ask at the Canadian consulate in Singapore if there is such a club in Canada -- he should have a contact address for you. In fact, he might be able to give you some other suggestions in addition to the very good ones presented by the respondants on this site.
Good luck in finding her!
