At 14 you will technically be old enough to get a job in Ontario but as previous posters have indicated most employers will hire someone older if they can. See what you can figure out to set up a little business of your own, such as yard work, cleaning garages, babysitting, etc. You might consider supermarkets for jobs stocking shelves or packing groceries. Best of luck with your plans.

Is it snowing? When I was your age, that was my best bet. Once you turn 14, some store will hire you. You can only work on Saturday and Sunday during certain hours. I would try hiring my self out for odd jobs until then. People with older bones would appreciate someone to help them with chores, especially in cold, slippery weather.

Most restaurants, including fast food, don't start hiring until at least 15-16. If you need money try a paper route, or like the others said, do some odd jobs around the neighborhood (shovel, cut grass, walk dogs, etc).

you may be too young to get a job anywhere, but i guess it's worth a try. make a resume and drop it off at a ferw restaurants and fast food joints. but, because of yorur age i doubt you will get hired. you could always make flyers and advertise lawn mowing or other related duties.

I do not believe that you will be able to work retail or in the food service until at least 14. However, there's a place in downtown To. that help youth find summer jobs. I can't remember what it is called but you can check www.toronto.ca and I think it's listed there. It used to be located on Yonge St. (East side) and south of Bloor north of King.
