Canada is a great place to go to University. The fees are about half those of US Universities for a comparable education. If you want to meet Eskimos, see glaciers, you'll have to go very, very far North. As for lakes, most of our lakes freeze in the winter, and I have no idea what an "ice mountain" is. There is an ice hotel where you can stay in Quebec City (though only in the winter of course) and a lot of ice sculptures. The rainfall varies across Canada just as it does in the US. In Quebec we have about the same amount of precipitation as you do, though in the winter it is in the form of snow. I grew up in Pennsylvania, but I love Canada so much that I would never consider returning to the US. Check out the web site below. Bishop's is a small, liberal arts university located about 1 1/2 hours from Montreal and about 2 hours from Quebec city. It's located about 30 minutes from the Vermont border. Consider transferring here or at least participating in an exchange program. There are many students from the US here

There are Eskimos near the arctic circle in Northern Canada. As for the rest of Canada, yes there is ice, usually in the winter months of January, February and March. The rest of the year is too warm for ice. Enjoy your visit. |
