This particular ad is a scam. However, I know of many Canadian businesses that sponsor immigrants because they cannot find employees here in Canada. In many parts of Canada there are "Help Wanted" signs everywhere in the fast food industry and in the hospitality industry.

Job scam quick guide: it's a scam if...

* they want you to collect and forward money in any way (a "money mule" job). You'll wind up engaged in money laundering, personally defrauded via expertly forged cheques, money orders, etc, or defrauding someone else who pays for goods that never arrive.
* they want you to receive packages and reship them somewhere else. The goods will have been obtained fraudulently, and they're just using you to make the shipping address appear local. You will be aiding fraud.
* they want up-front payment (either to them or someone else) of any sort for anything before you can get the job. This is advance fee fraud: there is no job -- it's just a big con to extract money from you.
* they want you to buy any kind of "kit" in order to start. Forget it -- it's not a real job at all: they're trying to sell you something, and they're probably making a bunch of other false claims about it if they're pitching it as a "job".
* it's a job offer, and it's spam. There are LOTS of these scams about, as you can see.

Omni Royal Hotel Canada

Yet another "Canada Hotel" scam. The sender is not associated with Canada at all, let alone a Canadian hotel. He's actually in Africa: the originating IP address is 212.60.73.25 (Gambia Telecommunications company). When I've responded to such scams, the first thing they've wanted out of me is a scan of my passport. If you're silly enough to give them that, then they'll probably start asking you for various fees. I've never bothered faking a passport in order to see what they do next, but if you're the kind of person who likes to bait Nigerian scammers, then please do tell.

this does not due to the fact so many people ask on this if this same letter is for real.Tried to look the hotel up only find one location in montreal why don't you forward them the copy of your letter and see what they have to say .

sounds fishy especially when they are so much people here in Canada that would apply ( Canada is a big place with a hige enough population that a company would not look overseas so they end up paying such a overhead for each employee)

but when people ask you for money or info on the internet NEVER GIVE IT ! Or even use your bank account to transfer funds.They start off offering wonderful things and start asking for money to cover such and such afterwards

I had someone try a scam on me .They wanted to buy an item.Then I get this money order ( supposedly the money order appears that it came from the USA ) but the envelope is addres from Africa.The numbers typed don't match the example on the money order how it should look .Advised them I would not take it and I need their return addressfor the cheques that they mailed without a return address!!!
LOL they overpaid and then wanted me to send them a legit cheque for a thousand from my own bank account . I explained absolutly not and they need to give me their address so I can return what they sent . They started threathening me . Then I told them I turned it over to the local
police station here and no more emails . And they never wanted their money orders back ..lol

It sounds like BS. Plus there email address is a yahoo.ca address. Why not an Omni hotel domain? That should raise a red flag. Doesn't mean for sure it's a scam but I would watch out.

If you didn't apply, don't reply! There are a lot of people here in Canada who need jobs. Why would "Mrs Rose" go looking for you? This is BS! ~ DELETE~

Canada's a big place - you'd think (if it was legitimate), that they'd at least give you a city of province. For all you know, it's in Yellowknife.
