Vancouver is major coastal city & seaport located in the Lower Mainland of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. The location vis-vis US is North to Seattle on the west coast and is around 2200 miles form Chicago....so, of course car is not an option.
You can take flights from Chicago flying into Vancouver directly...for slightly cheaper option, you may consider flying into Seattle and take a rental car for a 2.5 hours drive to Vancouver. Its around 141 miles from there.

There is the city of Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. It's located on the south-west corner of British Columbia and extends almost to the US Border. It's about 200 miles straight north of Seattle.
There's also Vancouver, Washington which is located in South-western Washington State right at the Oregon border. There is also Vancouver Island, British Columbia, an island just off the west coast of mainland British Columbia. It's about 250 miles long and at it's widest point is about 60 miles wide. It's the largest island on the west coast of the Americas (north or south).
Chicago to Vancouver BC is 4 to 5 hours flying time and likely a 4 to 5 day drive. |
