You definitely have to come to the Maritimes (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island). Although our largest city, Halifax, is small (400, 000) we more than make up for it with our great open spaces and nature.
There are many beautiful natural sites. Peggy's Cove, the Cabot Trail, The beaches all over the three provinces (Make sure that you come in the summer). My favorite is rafting the tidal bore on the Shubenacadie River it's a must if you make it to my part of the country.

With the exception of Shannon G -
the Answers are taking you to Dullsville. I suggest that you fly Direct to Vancouver and visit:
Victoria
Whistler
San Juan Islands (USA)
Then go to Banff and Lake Louise.
Stay away from Toronto.

It all depends on where you are going to stay when you get here.
Canada is a huge country with so many interesting places to visit.
Of coarse a trip to Canada wouldn't be complete without a visit to Niagara Falls. Toronto has the CN tower and Quebec has beautiful old Quebec city. If you want to see beauty...you must either go to the Rockies in the west or to PEI or the other East coast provinces. There's nothing like PEI lobster!
If you are staying in the Toronto area...be sure to take a trip to the Niagara area...drive along the wine route to visit some of our many, many wineries along the way. It's a beautiful area as well.
Like I said...there is so much to see and do here in Canada.
Try this site www.trailcanada.com . There's lots of information there.

If you are looking for nature, I recommend Newfoundland. The is ocean, highlands, a few mountains, forest, and a great history! The people here are amazing. I am not from here, but I loved it here so much that I had to move here! Newfoundland is famous for its culture (which is completely different from anywhere else - kind of like Ireland or Scotland a few decades ago), it extremely hospitable people, and it's natural beauty. There are some outport communitites that are abandonned as well as many that seem to be caught in the past. Some you can only get to by boat! St. John's has a great culture and history as well. George Street is the street with the most bars per capita in North America (and man is it awesome.... best place to be on a Friday or Saturday night.... and probably Sunday.... and maybe Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday!), Water Street is the oldest street in North America, and Cape Spear is the most easterly point in North America. The Geo Centre is a museum built down into the rock to show the history of rock and the island. Signal Hill is the place where Marconi sent the first signal across the ocean to England.

If you want to tour natural beauty, there are many different loops or drives you could take along different coasts. In the summer, there is whale watching and ice bergs. You can kayak in the ocean. You can fish in non-restricted ponds across the island. There are always tonns of summer festivals going on across the island.

Well, as you can see, there is a lot that makes Newfoundland an ideal place to visit. Unfortunately, they do not advertise as much or as well asthey should. They are starting to advertise eco-tourism. Check this out:

Where ever you end up going, enjoy your trip to Canada!

Come to Toronto (we rock) and Vancouver is pretty cool also. But if you're looking for a wild night out then go to downtown Montreal. Toronto is pretty fun but can get pricy and boring really quick. If you're into sightseeing or adventures head up north (camping, northernlights etc) These places would be Thunder Bay, Yellowknife, or Kelowana out west). Enjoy your trip!

TORONTO!!!!!!!!! -- Multicultural experience! Beautiful, clean city. Lots of fun. -- Just plain gorgeous! :)

Start your visit in Montreal. Then take a train to Toronto. From there, you can book a trans-Canada rail tour to Vancouver. Along the way, you'll enjoy seeing the natural beauty of the country in the comfort and safety of a train (the observation car is fantastic!).

You may want to amend your question to add how many days and how much money you want to spend on your trip so people can advise you in more details.
