It depends what you want to do but I would say about the same as a vacation in the US. And remember, there are ATMs all over the place so if you run out, it really is not a problem. |

(All my prices are in Canadian dollars)
Expect anywhere from $50 to $150 a night for motel or hotel stays. It all depends on the city you are in and the type of hotel you pick. You can stay at a Motel 6 for a great rate if all you need is a bed and bathroom. On the other hand, if you plan to stay at the Queen Elizabeth, Chateau Richelieu, or Banff Springs Hotels, you may pay the same for one night as a week at a motel.
Are you renting a car? Expect $30-50 per day plus gas costs. You could buy public transit passes that are good for a week or a month if staying in the same city for the three weeks.
Food here will cost you about $10 a day for breakfast, $15 for lunch, and $25 for supper if eating out at fast food or low priced restaurants. You can buy some food at supermarkets and keep it in coolers or an available fridge to lower costs.
So I would estimate:
Lodging $100
Food $50
Car Rental $50
So I would allot $200 X 21 days = $4200.
That does not include souvenirs, entry fees for tourist sites, etc.
Also, keep your receipts wherever possible. Canada charges a Goods & Services Tax (similar to the VAT in other countries) and you can get these taxes back by applying for it on your way back out of the country. At 6%, you could potentially get $250 back on your $4200. |

Depends on what you want to do /visit and what's your budget... I travelled for a week last winter and got rooms for as little as 35 per night -individual room, shared bathroom- and could easily eat for around 25 dollars per day -bought food in supermarkets some time-. Local transportation tends to be cheap and monuments are not very expensive. Neither was traveling from one city to another. So, if you have a very limited budget, I'd say minimum 75 dollars per day -assuming you'll want to buy something for you or your family at some point, or join some guided tour or whale watching tour, etc. That'd be the minimum I'd take. Hope it helps |

depends on what you want to do but just so you know the exchange rate is almost equal right now |

About the same as what you would need for a holiday in the USA. I am assuming that you would like the same sort of accommodation and extras that you would need in the States.
Don't forget to take the exchange rate into consideration. |
