might go to college near by. and its popular to go into montreal on weekends. truthfully i thought this place was dull sounding but i was ignorant. its actually pretty nice?? bars clubs shopping??<...
Is there a "Canadian Food?" I don't mean back bacon... and not regionalized ethnic (French in Montreal as an example). Just a nationally recognized Canadian Food....
Would a photocopy of my birth certificate and my drivers license be ok? I don't have my original BC so would the photocopy work? Also I have ss/credit cards and what-not, thanks....
Along with the rest of the world, Canada is suffering thru a huge economic recession, with hundreds of thousands of people losing their jobs,
Many Canadian companies are going out of business, and their employees are desperately searching for other jobs. Who do you think is going to hire you, a immigrant , when our own citizens are facing such severe problems here ? Obviously we are going to look after our own citizens first..
Stay where you are . Wait a few years, to see how or if the world economy improves .

Further to Jim B.'a answer, do you even qualify to come to Canada? We've got about 925,000 applications already being processed so even if you were to apply today - and get accepted - you can anticipate a very long wait.
Please, stay where you are. Canada is in the midst of a recession and many Canadian companies are going out of business. We have enough unemployed Canadians as it is. It isn't that we're not welcoming but only that times are tough here now.

If you have some sort of skill that we have a shortage in then maybe coming here is the right thing to do. I suggest you research what life is like here before you decide.
If you do not have a skill in high demand then do not come here. We have more than enough unemployed people here now.
Good luck to you.
awesome angel
I'll suggest you Montreal or Vancouver..... they are awesome place to live.
david
DO not come to Vancouver, I would suggest a nice town like Saskatoon.
