Horseshoe Bay Ferrie?

How long is the ride from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay?

Rick B
The ride I guess you know by now it is 1 hour and 35 mins.
I would recommend that you go to their web site and reserve ahead of time. you must be there no later than 30 mins from departure time and no earlier than 60 min. If you do not want to spend the extra $15 and miss the ferry depending on the day and time I have heard 1-3 sailng waits during peak times, which could mean 2-5 hours in your car. Something else worth doing if you are on the right ferry is having the buffet which in itself is average but the view on the ferry cruising over and having a bite to eat is priceless. The buffet depending on time of day is under $20 at dinner. Not all the ferries have the buffet though.

The ferry ride is 1 hour and 35 minutes long.

The official time for the trip is 1 hour and 35 minutes and the ferries run either every two hours or, during high seasons/peak demand times, every hour. You generally start loading about 15 to 20 minutes prior to departure and it can take about the same time to leave the ferry. The time on the ferry is generally pretty close to the offical time however this can vary depending on sea conditions. When adding off loading times you are probably looking at close to 2 hours.

Karen L
The actual boat ride is officially 1 hr and 35 minutes. Depending on how filled the boat is and where you are in the loading order, it can take close to two hours from when you load to when you get off if you are driving. Walk-ons can load close to departure time(10mins?) and they always get off first

You may allso want to check Tsswassen Duke point its a little longer but may be quicker if your starting from outside Vancouver Delta Surrey New Westminster
