How's it like living in Toronto?

I'll be moving to Toronto within the next year or so and I was wondering how life is like over there? What do you like most about living in Toronto? How is the art scene over there to those who know?

:)
Additional Details
I'm Canadian. I'm from the Greater Vancouver area. Just to let people know.

I'm not an immigrant. I'm not from a small town. And every big city isn't the same.

:)

Living in Toronto is great. For me, I don't fancy cold weathers, but it's what we survive every year. There's a lot to do here. It ranges from clubbing to shopping, you name it all. I think there's an art fair every year but I could be wrong. There's an art gallery close to Yonge/Eglinton or something. We have a variety of shopping centres. We have a lot of cultures, too.

Trust me. Toronto is probably the coolest city you will ever visit/live in. You got the world's tallest freestanding structure (CN Tower) many many tiny communities like 2 chinatowns, greektown, little poland, all of those things, the busiest airport in canada to destinations all over the world, a beautiful lakefront and islands, many campuses like U of T and stuff, an efficient Public transit system. I know all this because i live like 100 km away and my ancle lives there. A very nice city, with many historic sites. In my opinion, i would consider moving to Kitchener/Waterloo, (where i live) a great city 2 universitys, colleges, population exploding, easy to get around, West Jet to start service from kitchener to calgary and possibly Halifax. many many sites. I highly recommend this area of ontario. Have fun.

I hope you will like it there because I heard that there is good people and you will see beautiful whatever you discover.

Toronto is a great city! there is so much to do, music festivals, great bars, lots of art galleries and tons of culture. Great waterfront and much sports venues. Excellent city transportation and awesome shopping.
Unfortunately there are a LOT of homeless people who sleep in the street and in doorways.
Good luck!

just like any other big city. if you're from a white-dominated area, you'll be in for culture shock. The ethnic diversity is huge!! You'll love it.

Toronto is a good city to live, if u r cmng from ASIA as immigrant prepare ur self for a real tuff life as Job opproutunites here r very low Immigrants have to do Labour Jobs as Emplyers in Canada dont recognize ur Degrees and experience.
For more detials visit www.notcanada.com
every body want to take his chance but no body gets that belive me.
best of luck any way

Mark
Hey Capri the reason job opportunities are low is because every where I go I'm the only white person there has well the labour market is full. Immigrants don't hire white people. Go to china town for a great example and look into the Chinese run shops you'll never see any one else working in there except chinese. I your so miserable here why don't you just go back and tell every one Canada is not the country of milk and honey. go to th welfare office it's fulll ofimmigrants not wanting to work bums.
