Depending on the weather, 5 - 6 days. If you have 2 drivers and go around the clock, with good roads 4 days.

You may have bad time around the top of lake Superior, or through Manitoba if you hit a bit of weather. Watch yourself through the Rogers Pass, it can get pretty bad up there if it is storming.

Unless you want to see those parts of Canada, I would recommend driving south to Ohio, then west, then north to Vernon. The highway system in the USA is probably still better than ours. The Americans have wider roads, more snow clearing machinery, etc.

I took a similar trip (Vancouver - Toronto - Vancouver) years ago, in summer, during a heat wave. I drove east through the states and then west through Canada. The Canadian part was much, much slower. It was great to see the prairies, and I learned a lot, but I promised myself that I would never do that to myself again.

It was a long drive in summer - at least five days.

During the winter, road conditions will be a big issue. There could be snow storms that shut down parts of the highway for days. Sometimes the mountain passes are impassable for days. (You should probably carry a package of chains to chain up your tires through the passes).

uhhhhh take a plane. I don't like driving to work in the winter without knowing the forecast let alone driving across Canada. The plane ride will take about 5 hours , the drive could be harrowing and take 5 or 6 days!!
