How are pharmaceuticals in Canada sold for such lower prices?

I think it has to do with the government buying drugs in bulk and distributing them to pharmacies. Not %100 percent sure though.

Cause its not for greedy crazy profit like our neighbours too the south (I'm in Canada)

If you are referring to websites claiming to be Canadian suppliers, be aware that many do not originate in Canada and are merely scams.

Because drug companies don't waste billions of dollars on advertising. They're not allowed to advertise drugs in Canada like they do in the states. All the can advertise with is ___ drug, ask your doctor if it's right for you.

It`s actually mostly because of the extra tax we pay that is why

Canadian drug stores have to sell at cost plus a dispensing fee. And the government arranges for bulk purchases to keep the cost down. The dispensing fee is whatever the drug store thinks the market will bear, about %8.00 per prescription.

As well the drug companies have to proove to the government that new drugs ar e really worth the cost compared to the old ones. If they are not that much better they have to sell the new one for the same price as the old one.
