i don't think it'll be as bad as the one we had before.

Not as bad as in the states and England, but I suspect there will be way too many people out of work. There just aren't very many jobs out there Start saving your money now, and keep your job, even if you don't like it. I live in Calgary. Its not as bad here, since everyone still needs gas, but its taken me 2 months to even get a job interview,

I have the feeling its going to be a long one, though, compliments of the government stupidity the past few days

Technically, we're not in an actual recession yet. It may be that we won't actually see a recession, but with parliament suspended, I don't see that as being a possibility.
But aside from that, economies can be way too unpredictable to say for sure how bad this could get.

The recession is going to hit hard fast everywhere.
We may feel a little relief right now, but in a few months experts are saying things are going downhill. It's all in Americas hands.
