I was a babysitter, right through High School, then went back to if after a while in my twenties.
Now I have my own home day care...hmmm sort of made a career of it. But you don't have to. |

Dog walking, house sitting, baby sitting, cleaning, car washing, odd jobs. When I was 12-13 I started dog walking, really great since I love dogs and I got a ton of exercise and great references for future professional jobs. |

You can in Canada work at any age as long as consent from the parents is given. Getting a place to hire a 13 year old is a different story. |
