#1: You need a passport now, just so you know. You didn't need one up until January 1, 2007 (If you're a US citizen, you also need driver's license, state ID, or military ID, and a birth certificate). If you don't have a passport yet, I don't even suggest you even try to cross the border, you won't be allowed and it will be a waste of a drive and you won't be allowed on a plane.
I'm not really sure what you mean by "how can you go to Canada"... Do mean like, by car or plane? Directions (roads and stuff)? Legal measures (ie passport)? Customs and vaccination requirements? It also depends where you're coming from... US? Africa? China? California? New York? .....
We need more info to really answer your question.
PS: Niagara Falls is AWESOME! (Just across the river from New York). If you're going to Canada, it's worth the visit (Get to Route 420). Try Mapquest. If you're coming from California or something, it's pretty far away though. |

Someone told me they just heard on the 11:00 o'clock news after this weekend (6/22/07) they won't be allowing any Americans into Canada for the next 6 months. So if you are American, you can't go to Canada. Apparently its because so many U.S. citizens are trying to visit Canada before the change in passports take place. It put a huge stress on the immigration computer network or something so they have to stop people from crossing the border until they get it fixed because they are worried that illegal immigrants will try to get out of the U.S. and into Canada |
