I am almost certain that it will not work in India. You should investigate very carefully first before you go to all the trouble and expense of packing it. It's not just the plug that may be different, the electrical supply will be different in strength and cycles/second, and also India could be broadcasting with different number of "lines" or all sorts of things.

Don't try. It makes a lot more sense to sell it in Canada, and get a new set in New Delhi. There are probably differences in Indian voltage and frequency, and there are also TV modulation systems used in Asia that are not used in North America. You will probably want a set that will handle SECAM and PAL as well as NTSC, and yours doesn't.

You can't take it with you right then, but you could always re-pack it in it's original box and ship it to where you are headed. Would cost an arm and a leg, but you could.
