How difficult is it to emigrate to Canada from US?

Could one ask for refugee status & if so, what would the conditions be? Do you have to give up all of your belongings? I know how others feel about the stereotypical US citizen & how much we are hated. Do French Canadians hate us as much as the French? I can't stand what's happening in the US. I have an 8 year old daughter & I want what is best for her. I know that Canada has some wonderful ballet companies, skating, skiing, etc. / a lot of opportunities for children.
Additional Details
I'm not going into my situation but you have no idea whether I qualify for refugee status or not... & I do. As for calling me a liberal democrat, far from it, lmao.

I doubt you would qualify for refugee status unless you can demonstrate that you are being unfairly persecuted in the US. Many have tried. Very few have succeeded.

You may be able to emigrate normally. You will have to either be able to obtain employment under the NAFTA treaty (which only covers certain types of jobs) or you will have to demonstrate eligibility by having skills in shortage (e.g. professional entertainers, doctors, nurses, etc.).

Google for the Canadian government's website on Immigration and you can see if you might qualify.

As for French Canadians and the Americans, all I can say (as an English Canadian who speaks French as a second language) that French Canadians seem to like Americans just fine.

I don't think it's that hard to do especially from an already developed country - I think one of the easiet ways is to have a job here before you come here - although I'm not an expert and you might want to do more research than what I'm telling you here...

All you need is your passport, and a reason for going to Canada.
(passport for your child too)
