They just live in a different country and grew up in a different environment than another. There's a lot of ignorant answers on this questions for all those who answered idiotically should go screw themselves. I'm not Afr-Amer but I sure do believe everybody is the same & should be treated equal.

Interesting question. I've never heard of African-Canadians. There are Black Canadians, but the term African-Canadians just isn't used in that lovely country.

Blacks in Canada are scarce, only 3.2% of the Canadian Population is Black and they are concentrated in Toronto and Halifax.

Blacks in the US are more spread out throughout the country, They make up 12.6% of the US population.

Actually Canada is actually a very homogeneous society with the population being 87% white European.

I have never heard the term African-Canadian ever used here. We simply refer to ourselves as Canadians and don't generally make a racial deferentiation.
