The T is silent and the 2 Ws are pronounced like only one. "Sawassen"

Swartz is pronounced just as it's spelled.

The "T" is silent in Tsawassen and Swartz is pronounced like "Warts" with an "S"

its from the local aboriginal dialect

"sa-wass-an" and add "ferry terminal" and everyone will know what ou mean.

so why did they add the T in english? Just to make sure you lived here for 2 years before you could pronounce it.

like Coquitlam,

Some people say the "T" in Tsawwasen is silent, most don't. The common pronunciation is TA-WA-SEN. Those who drop th "T" will pronounce it SA-WA-SEN. Either way, people will know what you're talking about. Swartz is pronounced SH-WARTZ

Tsawwasen Bay ferry terminal is south of Vancouver in Delta, BC. Ferries travel from Tsawwasen to Nanaimo (NA-NI-MO) on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and Swartz Bay. Swartz Bay is the ferry terminal just north of Victoria.
