How long would it take to drive from Maple Ridge to Tofino?
It would be around 1 1/2 hours out of Greater Vancouver, 2-3 hours waiting for and boarding the ferry to Nanaimo and another 3 hours to Tofino from Nanaimo.

Google Maps, Mapquest, etc. does not take into consideration the delays at the ferry. You can't just drive up and get on a ferry in most instances: there are always delays due to overcrowding, weather (especially this time of year), and/or security.
I would set aside between nine to twelve hours just in case. You could do it in seven, but that's the best-case scenario.
