The length of time varies. Driving through the prairies is a breeze but once you hit the mountains in some areas you can get behind very slow moving trucks etc. ( convoys of semi trailers that are barely moving ) and you can't pass them, rock and mudslides, and in the case of an accident you could be stuck without moving for hours. It can really slow you down, but 15 - 20 hours straight driving is a fair estimate. A break in Banff offers a nice breather before you get into the mountains.

Last time I drove it, left Vancouver at 9am, stopped just outside of Calgary for the night, arrived in Regina around 3pm the next day.

depends on how your going? I have a friend and his brother who are traveling from Ct. to Alaska through Canada and they have been gone almost 3 weeks.there not coming back until Sept.So take as long as you want or take a plane but don't plan on stopping to smell the roses!!Have fun

From Regina to Vancouver by car it would take about 18 hours (1728Km)

It depends on where in Saskatchewan to where in B.C. A rough average would be about 15 hours straight driving.

It's going to take you two days of steady driving, or three hours of flying. It will take ten days on a bicycle, and three to four weeks on foot. It took three months to paddle from Winnipeg (Manitoba, the next province on the east side of Saskatchewan) to British Columbia, using voyageur canoes and following the old fur trade route. There is a group doing a trek from BC to Saskatchewan on horseback, but I have no idea how long it will take them.
How had you planned to make the trip?

Gail M
2 days by train, bus or car. About a three hour plane ride depending where you are going to in British Columbia and where are you leaving from Saskatchewan.
