How much are these Canadian amounts worth in US dollars?

If you can order online, do it. Your credit card company will automatically process it in the US exchange, so your bill will reflect the CDN prices in US dollars. When you are in Canada, depending on the business, they will either take US money at par, or give you just below what a bank would. There really isn't a whole lot of difference between the two currencies right now, my workplace (which offers exactly what the bank exchange was at previous day's close) gave 3% exchange today.

Today's exchange rate is:
$1.00 CD = $0.947 US (or $1.00 US = $1.055 CD)

Therefore:
$38.95 CD = $36.88 US
$31.95 CD = $30.26 US
$7.00 CD = $6.63 US
$10.00 CD = $9.47 US

In reality, a US or Canadian bank would charge you approximately a 3% fee (based on the total amount you were converting), so those exchanges are on the "good" side ... you'd be closer to paying $1.00 US for every $1.00 CD.

Ordering online means you get hit with the exchange rate plus the fee for a foreign currency transaction ... check what you card agreement says. This is typically 3%, but can be as high as 8% for some lesser-known card brands or those sponsored by smaller out-of-state banks. In either case, that would pretty much offset any savings you might get by purchasing online.

And most places in Canada are now accepting US currency at par ... which means $1 US = $1 CD (this includes Marineland).

The American dollar is worth about $1.06 - $1.10 Canadian right now.. The prices listed in CDN are marginally higher than what you would pay in American dollars.

If your paying with American money, all you have to do is tell them, and they will put the exchange rate into the cash register, and then they give you the price in American.

38.95 CAD = 36.91 USD
31.95 CAD = 30.28 USD

There isn't much difference between the Canadian and American dollar anymore. It's really not that complicated, just give American cash and they will do the exchange rate.

There is very little gifference between the Candian and US dollar now. I bought US dollars this morning and for $500US I paid $535CDN. That included the bank fee too. If you use US dollars in cash they would probably just take it at par. Maybe it would be a little better to use a credit card and buy online.

with the canadian dollar being worthless, give them a penny tip (AMERICAN PENNY) and they will wait on you hand and foot
