It's normally $75 Cdn but it may vary from country to country from which you are applying. You are best to go to the Canada Citizenship and Immigration website (www.cic.gc.ca) for detailed information, or the Canadian embassy/consulate in your country. |

A citizen never receives a passport "TO" anywhere.
They are issued by the citizen's country of origin (i.e a Canadian passport is only available to Canadian citzens, a US passport to US citizens, etc).
That being said: if you're going to take the usual delays in processing your passport application, the cost for the actual Canadian document is approximately $85 Canadian, plus the cost of obtaining the necessary backup documents (a birth certificate if you don't already have one, two photographs, and a mariage certificate if applicable), plus the cost of mailing in the documentation if that is what you're doing.
Note that most Canadian processing centers require the individual either to drop off the documentation or pick up the finished passport in person, to verify that the passport belongs to a real individual. |
