How old to you have to be to get your lisence in Canada?
In Ontario 16 for a learners permit. Then you have to wait 8 months to do your test if you do it through a drivers course and 12 months if you don't.
When you pass your test you get your G1 which is a restricted full license. You have to do another test within 5 years to get your G2 which is an unrestricted full license.
You can read more on the Ontario graduated licensing here: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/driver/gradu/index.html

If you pass your written test at 16, you can get your learners permit. When you turn 17, you can officially drive alone but you can only have 1 passenger in the car.
jimmy crack corn
different rules and processes for each province but you can start the process of getting your license at 16 in every single province i believe, it just takes longer to get your full license in some provinces then others

At 16 you can get your learners...then you have that for a year. A learners just means you have a ton of restrictions and stuff...then you get your New driver..wich you have for another year (less restrictions..but still) And then you can have a normal lisence.
By the way...it might be more than a year...depends if your a crappy driver or not i spose

If you have to ask this question you can't drive in Canada
Court
At 16- G1- written test you can now drive with an adult who has had their license for 4 years.
-At 10 months if you take Drivers Education or 1 Year if you don't you can get your G2. This is a in car test with a teacher in the car with you. If you pass your G2 you can now drive alone with no alcohol in your system and not between 2AM-5AM.
- After one year you can apply for your G. It is a in car test, if you pass you are now able to drive with the legal limit of alcohol and can drive at any time.
