We have some of the best Universities here in canada. Your sister did a lot of research of Universities here in Canada. It's 3 against 1. Keep your UK citizenship, and get a Canadian citizenship (dual). you can also easily keep in touch with your friends from England over MSN, Yahoo, facebook, and others. You'll find that Canada will have more to offer. Your parents want to move to a different country to start a new life. Besides, we're not a frozen wasteland here. As of right now, it's in the 20s and raining. You'll love it here in no time. You'll meet a lot of people.

It's three against one so you probably don't have much chance of changing their minds. You might as well make up your mind that you're going and make the best of it. At 13, you don't get a lot of say in these things. You never know, you might like Canada. Lots of people go to a great deal of trouble to try and live here. In a few years when you're old enough to live on your own you can go back if you like.

What makes you think they're not asking the exact same question on how to get you to change your mind?

I know it's tough moving, believe me, but if everyone else wants to move and you don't then your choices are to either find somewhere in the UK to live or else look ahead and see a move to Canada as an opportunity.

Chris
liababes, I doubt you will be able to change their mind, but I am actually VERY jealous of you.

I am in the UK too and I have wanted to move to Canada for years!
It's a really great and beautiful country where I am sure your family will have a much more relaxed and happier lifestyle.

You will still be able to keep in touch with your friends here in the UK easily over MSN, skype, etc. and I am sure you will quickly make friends in Canada.
Canada is HUGE and there is so much to do there.

I've been trying to persuade my parents to move to Canada for about 5 years! I really envy you.

Let them do it. You get to try something new and maybe they wont like it and will want to go back in a couple of years. When you are 18, you can go back to the UK if you want to. Better though to get dual citizenship with Canada first so you can go back and forth as you like.
