It took place in Montreal, so, Canada was pretty much involved. It was Canada's main celebration during its centennial year (100 years as a country). It was the most successful world's fair of the 20th century with 62 countries participating and over 50 million visitors. |

Since Expo 67 was held in Canada, I think you'd have to say that Canada was involved in it, in every way there is. |

Funny, I seem to recall being in Montreal ( a city in the province of Quebec, which happens to be a province of Canada) during Expo '67. It didn't happen anywhere but in Montreal. Must mean it took place in Canada didn't it? That's about as physically involved as you can get. Hosting Expo in 1967 means having it there...in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Expositions (Expo for short as they' commonly called here) are like a fair. A big one. You're probably more familliar with the term World Fair if you're American. They've been held all over the planet. The last one in Canada was in Vancouver.
Countries entered into an Expo, including the Host country, put on exhibits of things native to their country. Think of it as entertainment and advertising in one package. They show you what they have to offer in just about everything, from vaction spots to high technology business. The idea is to promote trade. |

Just do a yahoo search. And since the Worlds Fair, with a theme of "Man And His World" was held in Montreal, which the last time I looked was part of Canada, Canada was involved physically. |

Expo 67 is the world fair that was held in Montreal in 1967 to mark Canada's centennial.
Canada had its pavilion, which had as a focal point an inverted pyramid at the top of which was a viewing gallery over the Expo site. You'll see it on the Wikipedia page.
Each province (or group of provinces) had pavilions: Quebec, Ontario, Atlantic Canada, the Western Provinces and the Indians of Canada. All were located within walking distance of one another. Of these, only the Quebec pavilion remains (and is now part of the Montreal Casino), along with one wing of the Canadian pavilion which now houses the administration offices for Jean-Drapeau Park (as the islands are now known). These pavilions are/were all located on Notre-Dame Island, where the Gilles-Villeneuve race track now stands.
The government of Canada was involved financially in Expo 67 (just as it was in Expo 86), and participated in negotiations to make sure countries participated.
Each country that left its pavilion behind actually donated it to the Canadian government, which in turn donated it to the City of Montreal. This allowed Expo 67 to continue on, on a diminishing scale, right up until 1981 as Man and His World. Those countries (generally from the Eastern Block) that had not donated their pavilion either dismantled them and rebuilt or sold them. For instance, the old USSR pavilion now hosts technical conventions in Moscow, and the Yugoslavian pavilion is now a fisheries museum in Newfoundland.
Finally, Environment Canada has taken over the former USA pavilion and rebuilt it after it burned in 1976. It now hosts the Biosphere and is a museum on water resources. |

Curious...Why is it that you think Canada was not involved in Expo '67 physically? The world fair was held in Canada to celebrate our 100th anniversary as a country, so obviously Canada would be "involved physically" in it.
Perhaps you should provide a more detailed question on what you mean and what you are looking for as an answer. The statement you made really does not make sense.
And I am not trying to pick on you, but it would not hurt to re-read your question before posting it too, since there are a number of spelling and grammar mistakes that make it more difficult to understand your question. I have no idea of your age, but when I read this, it looked like something my 11 year old nephew would write.
If you explain that you were born in the 1990's, you want to know more about Expo '67, that your teacher gave a project for the holidays, you need to learn more about it, and that you are from (such-and-such a city, state, province, or country), then we can understand what type of answer we will need to give you.
You received a number of good links from some previous people. I would start there or do a Google/Yahoo search on "Montreal Expo 67".
I hope you get the answers you are looking for, and I wish you happy holidays at the same time. |

Canada certainly was involved in Expo 67. Montreal was the host city, and the whole event was held in Canada. You can't get more involved than that! If you want more information on Expo 67, google it up and there are a dozen links - take your pick. |
