I have many doubts about Obama. Americans seem to think he's a miracle worker and he's not. He's just a politician like any other, they promise the moon before the election and then after it's over people start to realize that things aren't as promised.

I think that America was voting principally on race, while that is a good thing in one sense, taking big steps forward, I do not think he is necessarily the best for the job. I am not in the least being racist,I just feel that he is not experienced enough, espcially in comparison to Mccain, and the economic policies of the democrats will not wok!! Getting out of the war will also have..issues. I don't know, maybe I'm worng about him, but I do feel that he was voted in mainly becuase he is a good speaker and becuase he is an African American, and because Oprah said to.

Overall, I'm not so sure it was the smart choice.

(Not saying that Obama isn't a very smart man: he is)

I'm sorry that McCain was in the Republican party because I think that he actually would have been the better of two great choices. But his party sucks and his choice of a running mate was well......dumb.

I am happy with Obama winning but only history will tell if he lived up to the hype.

Well, it would have been humerous to see Palin in there... She makes me laugh... So stupid!

But... who really cares? They've been so annoying and campaigning for almost two years! Ugh...

I am cautiously happy with the results. I am cautiously happy about a lot of things. I do not have the power to see the future or I could be more definitive. One thing I do not feel cautious about is saying how happy I will be to see the end of GWB.

He has made cannon fodder of young Americans and some of his Allies' young people, He has lied and manipulated his way through 8 years giving Americans and the free world lies, uncertainty and financial turmoil. He treated his own citizens in New Orleans as if they were a sub species. Inauguration Day can't come fast enough for me.

Mr. Obama has a great CV, was calm and conscientious during the campaigning, had a platform that included issues outside of the usual political mudslinging we have seen in the past few elections. He has inherited a monumental mess. I wish him every success with the changes he put forward over these past months. I think Americans have picked a good man. I hope all of us who think that now turn out to be right. :o)

I am very scared. Obama is way too sketchy for me. He's hiding too many things from the US Citizens.

Obama is pretty isolationist. And that whole NAFTA thing scares me (as a Canadian) a little bit. But, Obama is a good guy and I'm happy with the election result.
