The fairmont waterfront is really nice and has beautiful views. The hotel/service is of a really high standard but I think the fairmont Hotel Vancouver is much better. The other hotel I would highly recommend is the Pan Pacific. I think the royal family stayed there when they were last in Vancouver.

In terms of the kind of service you can expect and the convenience of the location, the Fairmont is superior to the Pinnacle, and because you get more, you will also pay more.

An alternative you may like to try is a brand new hotel that just opened today, the Loden at Coal Harbour. They may be working extra hard to try and build up a good reputation.
