I'm planning a trip to Canada for a month. What are the sights i should visit there?

If you're in Toronto, be sure to go downtown and check out the following:

CN Tower, Rogers Centre (originally skydome), Hockey Hall of Fame, and the Eaton Centre (a large shopping mall with many great stores). You could also go to Ontario Place (if they're open in that season) which is like a small theme park.

Also, check out Paramount's Wonderland, a great amusement park in Vaughan, Ontario (not that far from Toronto). If you have kids, take them to the Toronto zoo. If you like art, go to the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum).

Want to go shopping? Try Eaton Centre (like I mentioned before), Sherway Gardens, Vaughan Mills, and Yorkdale Mall.

I cant believe NO ONE has told you to go to Northern Ontario. Ontario has stunning freshwater lakes and lovely laskeside resorts. Muskoka and Huntsville are lovely if you like nature and chilling out. If you like city metropolis then, yeah, spend 20 dollars to go up the cn tower. Also check out the neighbourhoods (Little Italy etc) ...I wouldnt even go downtown, thats not what Toronto is about!

9. Bata Shoe Museum (sounds weird but they have some cool stuff there, including Napoleon's shoes)
10. St James' Cathedral (built in 1797 and a sister of Westminster Abbey's in London, U.K.)
11. Yonge Street (Eaton Centre, plus all the shops)
12. Queen Street West
13. Yorkville (mostly for REALLY expensive shopping and Snob-Spotting)
14. Princess of Wales Theatre (one of the Big Three Theatres on Earth - the others being in New York and London)
15. Bloor Street

And those are just 15 off the top of my head. Plus, there are loads of great restaurants, nightclubs, wine bars, and there are tonnes of historic pubs in Toronto as well.

Stay clear of Scarborough (Toronto's equivilent of Brixton) in the East End and you won't have a problem ... and no worries, you won't accidently stumble into this area unless you specifically go looking for it.

well, starting in toronto, theres CN tower that by the way has a restaraunt that does awesome waffles. if you like golfing, theres the Don Valley, Humber Valley, Scarlett Woods, Tam O'Shanter, and Detonia golf courses.
theres a range of swimming pools.
thers also a great little boat trip around toronto harbour which at one point gives you ne of the best views of the toronto skyline.
a zoo
if you want to go shopping, theres the eaton, yorkdale, square one and and sherway gardens shopping centres.
an absolutly huge amount of parks and gardens
and not to forget the air canada centre, where you can watch the local ice hockey team, toronto maple leaves play.
then outside of toronto, you can visit niagra falls, niagra on the lake, which is a great little town.
theres the haliburtan highlands which are on the other side of toronto to niagra and are beautiful any time of year, and has an assortment of lakeside resorts etc

for domestic flights it is to expensive what i may suggest to you is to go to the greyhound buses station a take tikets it is the way we travel here i don t suggest to you to rent a car cause we drive in the opposite side

Domestic flights are NOT really cheap. A return flight from Toronto to Kingston (about 50 minutes by air) will cost at least $300. A flight to Vancouver (5 hours) will cost about $550. Soutwest Airlines doesn't operate in Canada - unfortunately. Via Rail has some decent fares. You can buy a Corridor Pass that will let you travel at your own pace between Toronto and Quebec City during a ten day period for $300. You can get off the train and back on in Kingston (Canada's first capiital), Ottawa (current capital), Montreal and a bunch of other cities in between.
