I'm traveling to canada- anything I should know beforehand?

I don't want to go to my favorite country besides the states and offend anyone. I'm going to Quebec City and Montreal and I don't want to look stupid. I speak French, but is there anything else?

Canadians are an easy-going bunch, so don't worry. I would avoid being overly aggressive, though. It seems childish to Canadians.

You will do fine. Us Canadians have tough skins and are not easily offended. All we ask is a genuine effort to understand and appreciate us is made Just remember that the French spoken in Quebec is not the same as the French spoken in France. There are many different wordings and slang terms. They will have no problem understanding you, but their dialect might sound a tad different to your ear. (Of course I am just assuming that the French you learned was France French and not Quebecois) Enjoy your trip here. I envy you, going to Montreal and Quebec City this time of year.
