Anywhere can be boring if you let it be. There's a lot more to do in Calgary than there is in Edmonton, or someplace in Saskatchewan or Manitoba. Calgary is good because in the winter the mountains are close, and there's the Olympic park. In the summer there is the Stampede (I don't really like it but most people do) and even though Edmonton has west ed, the shopping here is actually better (we have the same stores but in smaller malls so it doesn't take an hour to walk from one end to the other). |

a place being boring is completely up to you. there is lots to see and do, if you get out there and do it...but yeah, it can be boring if you just sit on your butt. However, it is COOOLD!! :) |

Yes it is a little bit boring...
but if come for a week or two you are good to discover all that Calgary has... like stampede, enjoying the flames games, calgary tower, the zoo and some nice parks... |

And Calgary has the Luge, a fun ice sled ride, open for tourists as well!
And a HUGE indoor olympic sports facility.
And from Calgary in a day trip, you can go east to Drumheller and see the Dinosaur museum in the badlands.
You can also go west to Banff in the Canadian Rockies and see some of the most breathtaking mountain scenery in the whole world. |
