I am Italian and I really love Toronto... is anyone here, living in Toronto?

Could you please tell me something about this city?? I'm really interested, I would like to have a working experience there, and I love the Canadian accent so much! :)
Additional Details
I heard about working experiences between Italy and Canada: Canadian people can work for 6 months in Italy, and Italian people can work for 6 months in Canada. That's really interesting and I would like to do it! :)
I also would like to say that I am going to get a degree in Political Science (in Italy)... Could this degree be interesting to get a work abroad? It's just a question...
In Toronto I would like to do normal jobs, such as waitress... or maybe in a shop... or something like that... just to improve my English, and to have a wonderful experience in a city that I really love!
A friend of mine told me that you can easily get a job... Is that true?
And what do you think about my ideas?

Sorry if I made mistakes while writing in English... I hope you can understand

I live in Toronto, and have been my whole life. Rarely leave. To be honest, it's not the greatest place. Crime is increasing dramatically, just yesterday 2 people were shot behind my school. Besides that, I guess it's an okay city. I mean, it's organized, and has a lot of nice historic areas. The symphony is really good, and the plays are freakin amazing. CN Tower is overrated but when you're on that glass floor, you should freak out a little. It's a good city for pets, and there are some reallllly beautiful neighbourhoods. Only a few nice beaches though, the main one is kinda crappy now.
Canadian accent, hah, the "eh" thing... I say it a lot but it's not after every sentence as people think, its more like:
"eh? you going to the mall?"
or
"What are ya doing eh?"
It's a question thing for me.
The work her by the way is reallllly good, we have amazing universities like U of T and Ryerson. So, hope you come here and enjoy yourself.

Oh, and our hockey team sucks. Go leafs go. :)

The website for Toronto is www.toronto.ca
(NOT www.toronto.com -- which is a commercial website full of advertising). toronto.ca is the official website for Toronto, and you will find answers to any questions there, and it has everything about living here, visiting here, history, photo-albums, maps, transit, parks, etc... Toronto is very, VERY multi-cultural, and its a super place if you love foods, -- foods and authentic style dishes from all around the world, including Italia. There are some wonderful italian bakeries and food stores all around town, and a lot of imported foods too. Enjoy your own cultural foods and share it with us, etc, but sometimes also explore and share others too. If you want to work here, make sure you do it legally, get whatever work visa or landed immigrant status you need to do it legally, or they will find you and send you back. If you come and work legally, you can live in peace and enjoy life here.

If your Italian, your going to love Toronto. I'm pretty sure T.O is only second to Italy itself for the amount of Italians that live here. When you won the world cup, the celebrations in the streets here rivaled hockey celebrations. There are so many good things to say about this city that I wouldnt know where to start. Check out this website http://www.toronto.com/ to learn more about it. Some people like to refer to it as Canada's New York City. One thing I know about living here that Ive heard from immigrants to T.O is that you can immigrate to Toronto and not feel like an immigrant because we welcome all different cultures which is what makes us such a great melting pot. It is one of the most multicultural cities in the world and IMHO is a great example to the world of all cultures living in peace together. The same can be said about Canada itself. Hope you get the chance to come here. We love your accent too!
