I work in the medical field and I know our medical treatment is not free to a non resident of this country. If you were smart you would have gotten travel insurance. In our country thought we never deny any person medical care because of religion, race, beliefs etc. Congratulation on becoming pregnant and not all of us are ignorant to the term "fallen pregnant". I wonder how many know what the slang "knock me up" means in Australia?

You can get medical treatment in Canada, but I suggest to talk with your nearest consulate or embassy about who will cover the costs. Check with www.britishhighcommission.gov.uk

For the health of your body and protecting your child, receive medical attention until you get back to your home country. Be safe!!

MojoMan
I don't think you fell and got pregnant.

go to a walk in clinic im pretty sure ull still have to pay but not nearly as much as a normal doctor. Around here all the immigrants go there and theyre usually dirt poor so im assuming thats the best place to go. Good luck!

The question is: How long will you be in Canada? You can get medical treatment in Canada but having the baby there brings up some serious legal issues. Mainly, citizenship. Having the baby there and not in Brit could cause some problems. Other than that, see a doctor, get on your pregnancy vitamins and take care of yourself.

I want my ¡OLD! mtv
This can get really complicated. If you were made pregnant by a Canadian you'll have to go through lots of paperwork and maybe get a dual citizenship. And decide where you want the baby to grow up if you're going to have it because wherever it's born is where it's citizenship is gonna be. But I'd ask Canadian authorities there and see what their policy is on that because they're the best source of all since I live in the US myself.
