At Canada or in Canada?

You need to pass the tests, and have a medical training and background that is recognized and accepted by Canadian standards

First of all, the way you stated your question... uh-uh you will never have a patient nor will get one in the future.

Here's a reality check.

There is a big scarcity of Doctors (medical) in Canada. This is a fact. Why? Because half of the doctor's population in Canada are immigrants who are qualified only to practice in their own country of origin or certification. And where are they? Guess? Well some of them are either driving Taxis in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc. But the good thing about this is that most of the people in Canada feel safer anywhere else in the world because if a person happens to suffer a heart attack in a supermarket or in a burger food chain store or taxi or just in the street... one thing for sure, there's a cardiologist nearby. Either working as a cashier, bagger, taxi driver, janitor or service crew within the place.

Exaggerated? Am I? see this.. www.notcanada.com

Coming back to question, my reply is - after arriving, please consider additional 6 to 8 years more of studying, internship, exams and passing, accreditation, documentation, etc and you are now ready to practice as a doctor.

Then by the time you can ask yourself...who shall then be are my patients?

My advice? Have yourself registered and affiliated in the same culture you belong to and start from there.
