All you need to cross the border by air is your passport.

Your passport is the ultimate I.d. you can have, don't have to have anything else...but you should carry other I.d. just in case you lose your passport and need to go to embassy for a replacement...and do not keep them all in same place...I have had friends who did....and lost everything together!

passport is all you need. if you want to bring another form of id though... you can bring your driver's license. i wouldn't bring a birth certificate. it's too precious of a document to be bringing around when traveling. in some cases, it's also hard to replace. never ever bring your social security card. you're supposed to keep it in a safe place and not bring it around. plus, it is not a form of id.

No all you need is a valid passport have a safe flight

Your passport is fine. It's the best ID you can have. You may want to bring another photo ID, such as your driver's license. You don't need the other two, but if they're already in your wallet, don't bother removing them.

As you are travelling to Canada by air your passport is all that you will require. Current regualtions require a passport for air travel and a government issued photo ID such as a drivers license along with a birth certificate for land/sea travel. I would, however, bring your drivers license for two reasons, it provides ID at times when you do not want to carry around your passport and, should you decide to rent a car, you will be required to have a valid drivers license.

As of the 31st of January, 2008 : the requirement is for passport. See the sites I listed below.
