outside of the heavily populated cities there is a lot of clean living. less crime than america. i think you'll find the people very friendly. what country are you from? i hope you like hockey.lol |

The lifestyle here is very cosmopolitan. The people that live in the country are top drawer friendly. Don't mistake this as being stupid--far from it. Our farmers are one of this nation's greatest assets. The food supply is the best. Tax is kinda high, but you get what you pay for. Health, clean cities, potable water, heat, light, clear roads (after a snowfall). Education is also high quality.
In short, we have a high quality lifestyle. |

I agree with Danismum. I don't like the big cities personally. What do you want, I'm a country girl. I'm not talking about the music, I'm not into country music myself but I respect people who like it. It's hard to tell about taxes since I can't compare, I don't know where you're living now. However, we can't complain, although we have a shortage of doctors, we can go to the emergency and if we are willing to wait, we can always see a doctor and we have medicare insurance to cover the cost, it's paid with our taxes(I don't know for how long we'll be that blessed). People in Canada, especially in smaller places are known for their hospitality. The economy isn't good anywhere at the moment so savings(it's very difficult for the moment). I can only tell you that I wouldn't want to move to another country. |

Do you have a visa to allow you to move to Canada? The life style is only slightly different than in a northern tier US state.
Taxes are higher but medical insurance is very low so it works out about the same. |

Canada is awesome..and the lifestyle is pretty much the same everywhere. But why are you moving? We want you here....we will miss you..can't believe you making me cry and all that...(sobbing) |

Get ready for a culture shock! Good things, less crime if you live outside of the city, nice people, BUT higher taxes, inferior health care, but it will be covered by the higher taxes and prices you will be paying. Interest rates less than the US for savings, but your investments in stocks comparable to the US. Higher gas prices, a lot of good eating places. Not many pro sports team, |

Hi,
I absolutely recommend you to get this book, I myself have read it and have met the autor in person, quite a guy, he´s always there to help you.
The book explains everything you need to know and do since the very first momento you set foot in Canada and ofcourse part of the process before.
Good Luck |
