I am planning a road trip around Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island next month. Does anyone have any tips?

I'm not big on cities, museums and such. I prefer nature, wildlife and the seashore.

Whooo! You'll have a lot of fun=) The Cabot Trail in Cape Breton is a MUST.... all of PEI is great for scenery. Fundy Park in NB is excellent also. Get yourself a free travel guide and map for NS - they send them out pretty quick and it's great to keep in the car:

Here's PEI:

Also, you might enjoy a drive down the South Shore of Nova Scotia (from Halifax towards Yarmouth) with a stop at Peggy's Cove. The Ovens Natural Park is amazing too.

Here's a good site to find out what's happening in Cape Breton when you're visiting ~ I highly recommend attending a ceilidh for a good sense of East Coast culture and fun:

There's one every Tuesday at the Creamery in Port Hawkesbury.

Oh, and the best way to get to PEI is by taking the ferry. It used to be the only way and it makes the trip more magical. I don't know if you're driving in through NB, but if you are maybe you could stop at Fundy Park (you can even stay in the park in a cabin) and then head to NS going towards Bridgewater/Lunenburg first and then work your way up to Cape Breton. On the way back from CB, take the ferry in Caribou to PEI and then take the Confederation bridge back to NB.

I've been to Nova Scotia years ago. Dad was from there. Prince Edward Island? You did not mention your way of travel. Been to P.E.I. a dozen times. If driving? Do not take the long way through Quebec. Its one long stretch. I hated it. But if you like long drives. Go for it. Well the Canada eastcoast is know for its beautiful nature, wildlife and it's clean seashore's. I go alot to New Brunswick. My mom was born there. Right by the water. I think you will for sure love it.
Enjoy your trip.

Also for you. Try the destination guide of www.lessdollartravel.com.
There you can find all what do you need. Include maps for hotels, eating out , getting around and so on.I use them for all my business trips.

Go on the Cabot Trail, on the Cape Breton part of Nova Scotia (On a map, it's the kind of U-shaped piece of land) Absolutely gorgeous. As for PEI, I suggest you just wander around. Everything there is beautiful.
