Get a passport. To get your birth certificate you need to go to your city of birth's city clerk office and they'll tell you were you can get it.

That is inccorect information. The mandatory passport porgram to enter the United States and Canada does not come in affect untill mid 2008.

if you are driving a driver licence is enough to enter canada but if you are planing to go by plane you have to go to the post office with an id and birth certificate and apply for a passport, it takes in general a few weeks before you can get it and cost aroud $80

STAY HOME!!! No seriously .. you will need to present proof of citizenship plus a piece of government issued photo id. If you have a passport that will kill 2 birds with one stone. Without that it has to be a citizenship card or birth certificate with your driver's license. Good Luck ... a passport is NOT required to come to Canada yet for citizens of the United States ... that will be implemented either at the end of this year or later!

JB
you will either need a passport(not required) or a driver's license and birth certificate. you need to return to your place of birth and get a birth certificate from the local government!

If your driving? A drivers licence will suffice as it's Gov't photo ID.
