Your problem isn't not having a credit card. Most hotels accept debit card payment although they may request an extra deposit. The problem is your age, I doubt hotels would rent to someone under 18. |

You need to be of legal age to rent a hotel room.
You are a minor, and no hotel will rent a room to minors.
If you have consent from your parents, you will need to get at least one of them to rent and pay for a room for you.
Otherwise you are out of luck. |

I use my debit all the time for hotel rooms. The may not let you have one because of your age though. They will ask for a picture ID with your adress on it in case you trash the room |

Being 15, you will not be able to get a hotel room.
DO NOT use a debit card at a hotel. They will put a hold on it for the amount of your room charge, tax, and additional incidental amount. ($50+) times the number of nights you have the room reserved for. They do the same with credit cards, however, this had a greater impact on you because it is your checking account. The reason for the hold is to make sure that you have enough money to cover the charges you incur.
Since you are 15, I doubt you have a visa debit card, you probably have a regular ATM card with just the bank logo. In that case, it does not work at all. Don't even try it. |

If they don't let you use debit (don't know why they wouldn't..)
you can use cash, and they'll ask for an ID, and a billing address in case you break or steal something. But if you can take care of a room, you're fine.
(Quite a few hotels are willing to rent to minors despite their inability to enforce the contract.) |
