i lived in north van before. i totally love that place. but yeah, like what the other answerers said, it is expensive. same goes for vancouver. if you can afford to live there, you should. if not, i would go with burnaby than with richmond though. they should be around the same price range in terms of rentals. i prefer burnaby rather than richmond coz it's nearer to vancouver and is more accessible in terms of public transport. but... if you love chinese food, then go with richmond. they've got the largest chinese population in all of greater vancouver area. it's like being in hongkong almost. |

Vancouver is pretty expensive. Burnaby borders Vancouver, so is a little cheaper. My mother in law has an apartment in South Burnaby, by Metrotown Mall, she pays around 800.00 a month for a 1 bedroom. However closer to New Westminster my friends daughter rents a very nice 1 bedroom for 700.00 a month. Can't help you with Richmond or North Van. Although I imagine North Van would be even more. |

I have heard that North Van is expensive (well more expensive). I personally like Richmond myself I've heard housing isn't too bad (well for the Van area) |
