I highly doubt that you would have a problem getting into Canada, especially if you're not driving.

I came back to Canada after loosing my ID in the US. I didn't show any ID, was driving the car and they still let me in.

I think you'll be ok

YES - in Canada dui's are felonies! You need to provide paperwork proving you've made restitiution and/or rehabilitated. Contact Canadian Customs for details.
I have heard it can cost as much as $200-300 to get done but I don't know if that is true. You can also pay a fee for a special work permit good for a few days that is supposedly less costly.
They can hold you in Canada if they catch you - check out the requirements thoroughly and with the proper authorities - its not worth the risk.
I have had passengers from my flights held there, and refused entry in to Canada as well.

The information is scanned thru your passport. Even if you get in - they can hold you there and not let you out to the States.

it is a criminal offense in Canada and you can be turned away at the border

You don't have much of a chance of getting in. They turn away people with DUI's.

DUI in NJ may be "only" a misdemeanor but here in Canada, it is considered a crime and you will be turned away at the border. Personally, if you have a DUI charge and are planning on going to a bachelor party I can only guess you won't be drinking just soda water and orange juice.

John W
I don't think you will have any problems seeing as how you will be using a passport. If Canada Immigration decide to run your licence it might be a problem as DUI in Canada is a Criminal Code offence. I hope your licence has been reinstated as driving wqithout a valad licence is also an offence. Have a good time in Montreal but watch your driving as French speaking police officers can be hard on Anglos.
