Vancouver Island, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Manitoulin Island, Ellesmere Island etc. all above water

I am confused too because it cant be an island if its underwater and no havent heard of that myself. Here is the list of the largest islands in Canada

There is Vancouver Island, in BC. Its almost the length of Ireland, 460 kilometres (286 miles). 31 284 square kilometres (12,076 square miles).

Approximately 29 times larger than Hong Kong.
Approximately the same size as Taiwan

Highest mountain: Mt. Golden Hinde at 2,195 metres (7,201 feet) - almost at the geographic center of Vancouver Island.

This is the largest island on the North American west coast.

Total population; 2001 census approximately 664,451

Then there are the following islands:

Ellesmere Island 196,236 sq kilometres
Devon Island 55,247 sq kilometres
Axel Heiberg Island 43,178 sq kilometres
Melville Island (NT, NU) 42,149 sq kilometres
Bathurst Island 16,042 sq kilometres
Prince Patrick Island 15,848 sq kilometres
Ellef Ringnes Island 11,295 sq kilometres
Baffin Island 507,451 Baffin Island 507,451 sq kilometres
Victoria Island (NT, NU) 217 291 sq kilometres
Banks Island (NT) 70,028 sq kilometres
Southampton Island 41,214 sq kilometres
Prince of Wales Island 33,339 sq kilometres
Somerset Island 24,786 sq kilometres
Island of Newfoundland 108,860 sq kilometres

Only the parts that you can't see.

Nath
islands are only surrounded by water go drink bleach

the only main islands are Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland Nova Scotia isn't an island.

Suprise
What island's are you talking about?

We have Prince edward island, Charlottetown. They aren't under water.
I'm sure there are islands under water in Canada but there are islands underwater pretty much everywhere.

for major island's, there's only Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton, Newfoundland & Labrador, and a bunch more little ones.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_islands_of_Canada

They're not under water.

Charlottetown is on PEI, and Cape Breton is part of Nova Scotia. Not all of Nova Scotia is an island, just Cape Breton.

NOVA SCOTIA IS NOT AN ISLAND!
