You don't say where you live, so it's hard to tell if you know the difference between C and F temperatures. Today, it was 29 C - thats somewhere in the upper 70s on the Fahrenheit thermometer. Summers are generally warm and sunny, with very few rainy days. Winters are cool, but snow is rare. If it happens (and it doesn't happen every year) it usually only lasts for a few days. The fall can be very wet and rainy, however, and there have been some very dreary Novembers.
It's a beautiful place to live, however, and if you enjoy outdoor activities, you'll enjoy it year round. There are three ski hills just an hour away with great skiing from November usually through to March or April, and tennis courts and golf courses are hopen year round. |

The summers here in Vancouver are generally hot and dry especially during July and August. The temperature can easilly go up to the late 30s degrees celcius. It's a lot cooler by the water because of the ocean breeze.
The winters here are horrible. It is generally cloudy with lots of constant rain. You need an umbrella to survive. I guess that can explain why coffee shops are so popular here just like Seattle. It rarely snows here but it can get quite damp and chilly. Temperature during the day are generally about 8 - 11 degrees celcius. But we can get some weeks when the temperature dips below zero (when a cold front from Alaska arrives and stays) and coincidently those are the days that are clear and sunny.
Good luck with your job!
Cheers,

misty wet in summer
mild in winter ( by canadian standards)
Vancouver is by the mountains off the sea so lots of misty rain but not snow
It is nice except some people cannot stand the dreariness of it. |
