I have received an email form Omni Hotel Canada offering for a job. Is the email is true or fake?

The email is as below:

Omni Hotels is continually looking for ambitious, enthusiastic professionals who want to join the "Best Team in the Business.

We are running our employment program in a generally note we don’t have to spend time and resources interviewing applicants from the distance, the hotel management have already arrange a training facility for all the sections below and all applicants shall undergo one full month of training upon arrival here in Canada to enable them to understand the Canadian hotel system.

Applicants shall be trained to suite the area fitting their ability and capability at the expense of the hotel.

For your Vacation, Accommodation and Food please be advice that all these are Hotel responsibilities; they will surely be taking care of by the Hotel management.... ..... ...........................................
Sincerely,
Mrs. Rose Grand

Did you request this? If not, then that's red flag number 1. Have you posted your email on Monster.com or other job/cv websites? That might be how they got it, too. Red flag number 2 is the spelling and grammar--it's not correct; I realize that Quebec is officially bilingual, French *and* English being the official languages, but this raises my cautious eyebrow--especially if I hadn't asked them to email me. Be especially wary if they ask for credit card, debit card, or other account numbers, and personal information. In fact, look up the hotel at http://www.omnihotels.com/FindAHotel/MontRoyal.aspx and contact them about this to see if it is legit.

This is such a scam! Many people have received this fake letter. Hotels in the area have too many applicants at this time of year!
Just the name of the woman " Mrs. Grand" as in grand hotel scam!
Omni Mont-Royal Hotel does exist but not Omni Mont!

SteveN
You can tell that this is a scam just by reading the email grammar. A professional hotel chain would NOT send out a letter written so poorly, and if they are from Montreal, the letter would have to be written in French first, followed by an English copy below it. This is mandatory from the Office de la Langue Francaise du Quebec.

Please Please Please people...read the 50-60 other questions in Yahoo! about this scam by searching for the words "hotel job offer", and forward any emails you receive on this subject to the RCMP fraud squad at wafl@phonebusters.com - this email is used for the Nigerian letters and advance fee notices, but they should be made aware of this new scam as well.

happyday to you
call them and find out, sounds fake to me...

You hadn't previously applied to this hotel chain?

I've never heard of the Omni Hotel chain in Canada. There's been alot of mergers of late but this name doesn't ring any bells.

My gut tells me this is a scam, but you might contact the better business bureau of Montreal and ask if this is a legitimate business and ask for references or complaints. I don't think most hotel chains solicit you, they want you to find them.

This sounds really fishy to me.

Enchanted
Its a fake. I've seen this before - with the same name, Rose Grand. There is no such person. If you want to find out, CALL the Omni and ask for Rose Grand. I guarantee there is no one employed their by that name, and they will know nothing of this letter.

What it is, is a scam to get your personal information. report the email as spam and delete it. And stop opening emails from people and organizations you don't know.

Yep me t oo have recieved the same kind of email with the snap of rose which is very much clear dat the email is fake and they r misusing personal details
