Nothing. Mass produced beer is swill, no difference in Miller, Molson, Labatt, or Budweiser. The only thing worse is Corona.

YES! It sure is.

It has a higher alcohol content and better taste.

I have worked in a nightclub for many years and have served
many Americans and they have said that their beer has a
"watered down" taste compared to Canadian.

The beer snobs rate most Canadian mass market beers slightly higher than American mass market beers. Probably because we don't subsidise corn and rice so less of it ends up in our beer. Plus the barley farmers get screwed by the wheat board on a regular basis so there is even less incentive to use anything else.

The higher alcohol content and the way it's brewed. I've had visitors from Germany who said our beer is every bit as good as their's unlike the panther p-i-s-s from the American 3.2% beer.

BC wines have won #1 in world competitions. Our ice wines are out of this world and extremely expensive.

I like how you Canadians compare everything to America.. No need to be jealous.

Beer taste more or less the same regardless of where it is from or how it is made. There are Canadian beers that are stronger than American beers and vice versa.Unless you're an alcoholic it will screw you in the end lol

if you stay with micro brewery beers and avoid the horse p... the large multies provide, you will be fine. there are some excellent "craft beers" available.
what makes any beer a good beer? following the German "purity law" from 1516. It originally exclusively allowed the sale of beer with three ingredients - water, hops, and barley (malted), but was later revised to allow yeast.

Wanderer
more alcohol - we are tough and we play hockey

.
I'm Canadian and a beer drinker, I personally prefer an English IPA called "Wells Ale", our beer is better than US beer(?) but I'm not a big fan of lager.
