The best thing is to see your doctor, and he will advise you at that time. Perhaps he will ask you to monitor the blood pressure (by taking a reading regularly, at drug stores or by getting your own BP monitoring kit), or he might suggest some changes to your diet (eliminating salt), getting a bit more exercise, etc. Or, he might feel you need to take prescription medication. But, I think starting by seeing the doctor is the best route to get started on treatment options.

I too have high blood pressure. I have been following my own natural way of reducing it and it works.

1. Eat vegetables or fruits (Recommended five portions a day)
2. Sleep early (more than 6 hrs would be fine)
3. Exercise your body for 30 mins or more
4. Try not to stress yourself in thinking about too much problems to handle cause that increase your tension and your blood pressure as well.

There are lots of other ways but these are the ones in my daily routine right now

One thing you could do is stop stressing and go visit a doctor. It could be a host of different reasons for high blood, first get yourself checked out.

Try taking up exercise. Start with some walking if you're not one for exercise. You may want to talk to a doctor before starting on any meds or herbs. Drink plenty of water. Also try meditating 30 minutes everyday...see if that helps?

an apple a day keeps the doctor away :) It's true.
Excercise. Avoid salt,alcohol,cigarettes are a no no.
Fried food and food with cholesterol. Just make sure you're not eating a lot of it,like milk,cheese,eggs,butter...
Stay away from processed foods and make sure you have a healthy diet with everything in moderation,fish,white meat,lots of veggies and fruits in moderation too,because they have natural sugar in them.
doctors say no alcohol but if you like red wine it can actually help, i'm not talking get wasted but a glass with your dinner is good and for the end-relax!

idk about herbs... you could eat cheerios every day or get some medicine from the grocery store for them... i think they are by the diet pills probably

You should a doctor to get a prescription. Blood pressure is dangerous. Celery and garlic pill .are good for high blood pressure. Try to avoid salt. I hope you feel better, but see a doctor.
