Yes it's a library and it's called the Haskell Free Library. It is the most unique library in the world. Located in Derby Line, Vermont and Beebe Plain, Quebec, the border between the two countries runs right through the building. The black line painted on the floor marks the border between the United States and Canada.

to find it you just have to follow the big black line theat makes up the border

There are a few houses like that across the country. There is one in Ontario and Manitoba that I know of.

I wouldnt be suprised since the borded is largely unpatrolled and open. It would be so cool but I dont know how the whole tax issue etc would work

I have heard that there is a business that straddles the border and that people try to go through the business so they don't have to go through customs. If it's true or not I don't know.
