I live in canada and my boyfriend lives in mexico..what is the fastest way to get him to be able to live here?

ok...I have been dating this man for a while and we are in love...so much that we want to live together and have a family...He wants to move here because I already have a son and can't live in mexico away from my son's father...We don't want to wait a long time to be together...Is there an easier way to get it done?? Is it faster if I marry him there or here and we start our family anyway> If I am married to him and having his child does it speed things up??
Additional Details
everyone is giving great answers but I am CANADIAN...and I CAN'T move to mexico...we need to find him a way to come here...

Hon, not sure if this is good advice, but it would be the one most Canadians would think of. Try asking Immigrations Canada. They're there to help us. We pay enough taxes.

Discuss your case with them. Be honest and have them explain how you can go about doing things. Protect yourself and your future family. Don't try to rush things because it will most likely cost you in the long run. You do not want to lose your citizenship. Being Canadian is the best thing in the world.

Talk to the Customs people and work things out with them. If your boyfriend has a good trade, or university training, they need people in Alberta...

Just go marry him, then bring him home like a souvenir.

Man born in Reynosa.
I'm Mexican. I know Mexico is incredibly speedy at giving anyone citizenship or residency, specially if you got married with a Mexican. You can come here to Mexico, go to city hall, show your marriage papers, they send you to some office, and in less than a day you'll probably have Mexican residency. If you want citizenship, it'll probably take a few months to receive it, but the paper work is minimal, the marriage papers are more than enough. I know it's easiert to get the papers for residency in Canda than it is on the USA, but I doubt is any easier than getting residency in Mexico.

Getting married would help, having a child would not. You would need to get Married in Canada to apply for licence and for citizenship. Getting married in Mexico would slow things down, as they would have to go through Mexico to verify, etc.

2 ways:

1- Ask him to come to canada for a while, get your marriage permits, get married. That'll get him an extended stay visa while he applies for residence, after a year or so he''ll get his residence and there you are. Downside: he can't work while he has just the visa, you'll have to support him... unless he finds a job and gets a job permit, but that's highly unlikely.

This is called sponsoring your spouse. A bit drastic yet effective and you'll be together from the moment he gets to Canada, but if you don't wanna marry...

2- tell him to apply for residence as a skilled worker (hopefully he's a university grad, speaks english and/or french, and has some work experience and some money). After a year or so, if he qualifies, he'll get residence and will be able to come to canada. You don't have to sponsor him this way but you don't see him meanwhile and there's a chance he might be denied residence by cic.

And not that it's important or you should listen to me, but i advice you to dump him, find someone else.

I heard that if you get married and the US thinks you did it for a green card they still wont make him a citizen until you live with him in Mexico for several months to prove you did it for the right reasons...I may be wrong but thats what a friend told me just the other day about her cousin.
