no idea?????
the maritime. best unknown friendly spot in the world. after 3 days you will be kicking you butt for not buying a military house when the government was literally giving them away. people are in a great time warp. walk with there heads up. smile , dont care million are or poverty level. just fantastic people . incredible seashores. compare to long beach on the island with easier Access. price of first class accommodations. 35 per night. restaurant prices. full menu 5 dollar meal. just to much. the rest of canada should have the maritime outlook. best part vigilante justice to drug deal ears. great historical sights. world class time at 5% of the cost. everybody has to see this glorious area. i still am booting for not taking one of the military houses. went on gimp pension 2 years later. would be living like a king on pension. in b c . not work.

I live in Toronto and it's lovely here. So I would certainly recommend coming here. Also, you should visit the Niagara Falls - especially in the evening when the lights come on over the waters - it's just so beautiful!

I've also been on a search for great Canadian locations to visit because I want to enjoy Canada, just like you :-) Hopefully I'll get enough answers on my question to help us both out!

My Dad says Newfoundland has the nicest people he's ever met and it's wonderful there. He says you feel so welcome and loved thanks to Newfoundland-ers because they really know how to treat people.

Have fun on your travels!

I would make a choice between Toronto and Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Montreal, and PEI. All wonderful places to tour.

I live in BC too, although I'm not from here. The furthest east I've been in Canada was Toronto, which is a great city to visit, a great city to be a tourist in. Winnipeg is great too, if you go there you gotta check out the Forks, and definitely the French Quarter. If you're travelling during the summer go to Thunder Bay, Ontario, on Lake Superior, it's beautiful there... not as nice as BC, but very nice. Another good place is Regina, often overlooked cause it's so small. My car broke down there a year ago so I was stuck in Regina for a few days, and when you're there anyway it's a nice city, some fun stuff to do. But like I said, it's small so it gets overlooked.

I've done cross-country roadtrips twice now so if you need to ask me anything else, just shoot me a message.

Go to Montreal. Everyone else is. Or at least, whenever I talk to my friends it's all "I'm going to Montreal/so-and-so just moved to Montreal/I wish I could go to Montreal/I thought I heard you say 'Montreal' and it just made me **** in my pants".
