I thought it is dry season?

It has been raining last 3 days and looks like it will extend all the way to Tuesday in Vancouver.

it always rain in Vancouver. Even if it's the middle of summer, and what's making it worse now is that the La Nina phenomenon is in that region meaning even longer rainy days for the west coast.

Well, that's the Northwest. Or rather North of the Northwest? You never know when it's going to rain.

On the other hand, have you heard about all the bad weather elsewhere? A little rain isn't so bad.

Yeah. The hot spell didn't last very long, did it? I feel sorry for the folks at Theatre Under the Stars - they've gotten rave reviews for their shows this summer (Grease and Oklahoma!) but no one is going to sit through a downpour to watch them. At least Bard on the Beach is under cover. Even if the sound of rain on the roof drowns out the actors at times.

Apparently, we had the rainiest spring in 80 years! I'm new here, but as I understand this is not normal. I can attest to the fact that weather has been strange around the world, though.

Last January was the rainiest ever in Vancouver! But then we had a gorgeous summer and Indian summer (my very favorite) to die for!

I know. It is summer. But maybe we're headed for another gorgeous extended Indian summer!

Besides, if the rain is over by Tuesday, then we're clear to see Spain in the Celebration of Light International Fireworks show on Wednesday night at English Bay! Hopefully, we'll have the summer rain out of the way for the rest of the show with Canada, Saturday, China the following Wednesday and the Grand Finale that Saturday.

Can't wait!
